A Fresh Start

January 1, 2022
Every year, color experts reveal their picks for the shade that best encapsulates the current period. Their choices for color of the year often draw on trends in pop culture, fashion, and design from around the world, and the results are here for 2022 Color of the Year!

Benjamin Moore announced their pick this year as October Mist 1495. The soft, silvery green mimics the pale hue of eucalyptus leaves, while invigorating the senses and grounding us in warm reassurance.

Sherwin-Williams selected the subtly soothing Evergreen Fog SW 9130 as its 2022 color of the year. The green-meets-gray, with a hint of blue makes it simple but sophisticated. This shade complements well with warm, earthy neutrals and pairs well with Urbane Bronze 7048.

These stunning, yet subtle hues of green inspire us to begin again. They also can extend a warm comforting welcome to an entryway design, help to establish serenity in bedrooms or bathrooms, and propose restorative energy to main living areas. To really elevate and modernize your space, consider also bringing in additional layers of texture with natural materials including jute, leather, rattan, and wood.

Let these organic shades resonate with you through 2022, designer approved!
